When it comes to Android-powered tablets, one of the more popular names that you can see folks carry around would be Samsung of South Korea. Of course, there is also a plethora of cheap tablets from China, but if you want a name that has some “weight” behind it, then Acer might be your cup of tea. The Acer Iconia B1-730 HD could very well be introduced as early as next week, considering how Acer has already organized a “A touch more connected” event that is tipped to happen this coming April 29th.
The Acer Iconia B1-730 HD does not seem as it is going to be the only device that will be announced though, as a leaked by Mobilegeeks teaser image has shown that they intend to launch multiple products as well. Who knows? We might actually be looking at a new Chromebook or perhaps a laptop of some sort, although the smart money would be on a Chromebook in order to follow up on their Chromebook C720 act.
Hardware specifications for the Acer Iconia B1-730 HD have been rumored to include a 7-inch display that has a resolution count of 800 x 1,280, where it will be powered by a dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 CPU that has been clocked at 1.6GHz. Apart from that, whispers have it that a 5MP rear facing camera is thrown into the mix alongside 1GB RAM, with an option of either 8GB or 16GB of internal memory.
