Ace Attorney 3DS Takes Place In Late 1800s

ace-attorney-3dsFor those of you who own the Nintendo DS (and its subsequent variants), one of the games that are a “must have” would be the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series. Who would have thought that one would have to do that much reading in a game in order to complete it? Well, the Nintendo 3DS continues in such tradition with word of the second Ace Attorney 3DS making the cut on the portable console, where it will take place in Japan’s Meiji era in the late 1800s.

Of course, back then there was no Phoenix Wright just yet since time travel has yet to be invented, but this does not mean that there aren’t any lawyers in such a bygone era! So far, no official announcement has been made yet concerning Capcom’s in-development Ace Attorney project, although it is highly likely that the game will take place between 1868 and 1912.

The hero looks familiar though, where he is known as Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken. Who knows, this might very well be the ancestor of Phoenix Wright, the Sherlock Holmes of the Far East, so to speak, with a rather familiar look. Not only that, he does have a weapon at his side, which might mean he has some ninja-like skills up his sleeves as well to help him solve devious crime cases back in the day. You don’t need 3D graphics to solve crime, but it sure makes the experience more surreal.
