No, the Fun Box is not some sort of karaoke machine for you to sing your heart out in the living room late into the wee hours of the night, keeping your neighbors awake with your screeching that would even put the neighborhood cat in heat to shame. No sir, the Fun Box, a device created in collaboration by smartphone manufacturer ZTE as well as game developer The9, happens to be an Android-powered game console that will launch in China later this month.
The Fun Box will have the NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor run at its heart, which would certainly not place it any less than the Mad Catz M.O.J.O. Apart NVIDIA’s quad-core ARM Cortex-A15 processor, it will also be accompanied by 2GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, sport dual-band Wi-Fi support, as well as a pair of USB ports. Not only that, the Fun Box will also play nice with a wireless game controller, and it does look extremely likely that it will arrive with a wireless air mouse remote which one can make use of in order to control media playback. The Fun Box ought to roll out later this month, but will it ever head outside of China? Time will tell.
