Some time in October last year, it was brought to our attention that the PC specifications for Watch Dogs pointed to support for a 64-bit operating system only. Well, here we are with the official minimum hardware specifications for Watch Dogs on the PC platform, and they do seem to be far too daunting for a regular office-based machine to handle. In fact, the minimum system requirements for the PC version of Watch Dogs have also been confirmed by the game’s creative director, Jonathan Morin. Morin claimed that the specifications list that you will be able to see after the jump are official, and hail directly from the development team themselves.
The processor will have to be at least an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 2.66GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 940 3.0GHz, while you have to have at least 6GB RAM to keep it going. As for the video card, make sure that it has 1024 VRAM with DirectX 11 Shader 5.0 support, a DirectX9 sound card, and a minimum of 25GB of hard drive space. All of these are not exactly super high end in any way, but the 6GB RAM requirement is rather odd in the scheme of things, which could mean that it is time for an upgrade for many a PC gamer.
