Titanfall was released a couple of days ago and for a while it seemed like it was exclusive to Microsoft’s Windows and Xbox platforms. However the good news is that if you’re a Mac gamer, you might be pleased to learn that the game could be making its way onto your computers in the future, although no specific dates were mentioned.
A Mac version of the game has been discussed in the past, although the details about the game remained a mystery. However Respawn Entertainment’s Vince Zampella has recently taken to Twitter in which he revealed that Titanfall would be getting a Mac release down the road, and that the developers are currently talking to Aspyr about bringing it onto Mac.
So why not develop it themselves? Well there are a number of possibilities, but Aspyr is a company that has dealt with Mac versions of games in the past on behalf of other developers. Some of their Mac titles include BioShock Infinite and Borderlands 2.
With that kind of experience behind them, we can only assume that they will do a good job at bringing Titanfall onto Mac computers. Once again there was no specific dates mentioned, although we doubt that it will be a speedy process. Then again we don’t think Mac gamers will appreciate a hurried port anyway, so better late than never, right?
So any Mac users pleased by this piece of news?
