There’s no doubt in the fact that gamers have been anxiously waiting for Titanfall to drop. Even Microsoft has been involved in building up the hype for this game. It has launched a Titanfall Xbox One bundle as well as a limited edition Titanfall Xbox One controller, which doesn’t come as a surprise, considering the fact that this game is an exclusive release on Microsoft’s Windows and Xbox platforms. The game drops March 11th, but it seems that gamers may have to wait for a little while even if they get their hands on the game. Apparently there’s a Titanfall Day One patch that needs to be installed the first time this game is fired up.
This bit comes from folks who have been able to obtain a disc copy of Titanfall from retailers. They’re greeted by a message informing that Titanfall needs an update which weighs 840MB, it is only after its downloaded that the game can be played. While 840MB seems manageable, it may still take a while if Xbox Live servers are slammed on the day due to the surge in traffic.
Recently Respawn Entertainment announced the Season Pass and Digital Deluxe Edition of Titanfall, it also released the official gameplay trailer. Suffice to say that gamers are pumped up for the release, perhaps its time they should brace to be hit by an 840MB download right after they fire up the game for the first time. [Image via Reddit]
