What this means is that the headphones are definitely good to go and if you’re interested in placing your order for them, you will be able to do so by hitting up their website. The early bird orders are now gone so we expect that they can still be pre-ordered for around $299 a pop, although for those who purchase them now, you can only expect delivery around January.
For those unfamiliar with The Dash headphones, they’re essentially a pair of wireless headphones that comes with built-in touch controls. This does away with the need for buttons or cables, with the right headphone allowing users to adjust the volume, while the left headphones tracks the song.
The headphones will also come with a heart rate monitor, an oxygen saturation sensor, and will be waterproof up to 1m. There is also a “transparent” mode that will allow more ambient sounds in for those who are running in public and might need to look out for sounds from oncoming cars and so on.
There will also be a mobile app that is planned for the headphones that will allow for better tracking of the wearer’s biometrics and data, such as distance run, elapsed time, and so on. The headphones are definitely feature-packed but since we haven’t actually heard the sound ourselves, we can’t speak to its sound quality, but hopefully sound quality has not been sacrificed for features.
