Just how is all of this made possible? Kudos to a certain Frank Lee, a professor at Drexel University and founder of the school’s Entrepreneurial Game Studio, where he decided to continue from where he left off last year. In 2013, we saw how 460 programmable LEDs allowed Lee and his team to code a special version of Pong, setting a Guinness World Record for “Largest Architectural Video Game Display” along the way.
While the Pong game took place on only one side of the Cira Centre, which is the equivalent of 59,800 square feet, Lee’s version of Tetris will combine both north- and south-facing walls of the building, which ends up with a net space of over 100,000 square feet. I suppose your Tetris playing experience will never see a bigger screen than this for a long, long time to come.
