galaxy-note-3-review-01

Fragmentation is widespread on Android, the only way to increase distribution of any latest iteration is to make sure that its rolled out to all supported devices as soon as possible. However, releasing Android updates, particularly to carrier locked phones, isn’t that easy or quick. Galaxy Note 3 owners on T-Mobile can finally rejoice, the much awaited KitKat update is finally here for them. T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4.2 update has been released today.

This actually is the first major update for Magenta’s Galaxy Note 3 ever since it was released last year. All the bells and whistles we have come to expect from Android 4.4 are included in this update, including subtle user interface changes. The update also enables Tap and Pay in Google Wallet. Weighing in at just under 496MB, it may take a while for the update to be downloaded, connecting to a Wi-Fi network before proceeding is advised.

Do keep in mind though that T-Mobile is rolling out this update in stages, which means that it may not become available at once for all T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 users in the country. Once the update goes live in any particular region, users will receive a notification on their devices informing them that a new update is available and ready for download.
