Sprint LG G2 Mini Carries Model Number LS885

The LG G2 mini was first made official right before Mobile World Congress kicked off earlier this year in Barcelona, Spain, which was unexpected since most folks expected the South Korean conglomerate to do so at MWC 2014 itself. Still, here we have a tweet from @evleaks that “LG G2 mini landing on Sprint as model number LS885.” If you can’t remember what the LG G2 mini offers right out of the box, hit the story after the jump to find out.

For starters, the LG G2 mini will sport a 4.7” IPS touchscreen display at 540 × 960 resolution, a quad-core 1.2GHz processor with 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory that can be further augmented thanks to a microSD memory card slot, an 8 megapixel shooter at the back alongside a 1.3 megapixel camera in front, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth connectivity, and a 2,440mAh battery to run proceedings.

You will find that the LG G2 mini will sport Android 4.4 KitKat as the mobile operating system of choice which means there should not be any untimely wait for the latest version. It might not be as powerful as its LG G2 sibling, but at least it is capable of holding its own in a world of “mini” smartphones.
