South Park: The Stick of Truth video game was released on the 4th of March and it proved to be quite a hit amongst gamers. Of course we expect that gamers probably need to enjoy the cartoon series itself in order to better appreciate the jokes and humor of the game, but so far based on many reviews, many seem quite pleased with it.
That being said, is there a chance that The Stick of Truth could see a sequel? After all we’re sure that this game has left gamers hungry for even more South Park video game content, hasn’t it? Well in a recent interview with IGN, one of the creators of South Park, Matt Stone, said that it wouldn’t be out of the question regarding a sequel.
According to Stone, he will be waiting to see how well-received the game is before even considering a sequel, but at the same time is not entirely closed off to the idea. “This was a hellacious undertaking – much more than when we signed up for it. Never say never. I would do it again, in some fashion. I think that video games are really interesting.”
Stone also stated that development of The Stick of Truth was different from back in the day where they would simply license out the property to developers and not have any creative control whatsoever, something that he would be doing differently if they had the chance to started all over again.
So gamers what do you think? Based on the game so far, do you think there’s room for a sequel, and more importantly, how many of you guys would actually love to see a sequel to The Stick of Truth?
