Nokia Lumia 635 Hits The FCC
There were rumors surrounding the Nokia Lumia 630 in the past, but it has apparently managed to clear the FCC sometime last week. Well, it seems that there is going to be a dual-SIM version of this particular device, which will be known as the Nokia Lumia 635, or at least that is what it is tipped to be called when it is finally announced. The Nokia Lumia 635 happens to be listed in the commission’s database as the Nokia RM-979, where its description points to it as having a couple of SIM card slots, where “both SIMs use the same antenna and transmitter chain”. Apart from that, the firmware on the Nokia Lumia 635 has confirmed that it will run a variant of the Windows Phone 8 mobile operating system.
It must be noted that both the Nokia Lumia 630 as well as Lumia 635 would in all probability, be the first smartphones that will run on the new Windows Phone 8.1 platform. After all, dual-SIM support happens to be one of the benefits that the new software ought to come with, in addition to support for on-screen navigation buttons. The Nokia RM-979 shares the same dimensions as its single SIM sibling, which is not surprising to say the least, where it measures 66.7mm x 129.5mm in height. Apart from that, the device’s battery can also be replaced, while it sports a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes. Any takers?
