For the past few weeks we have been hearing rumors that Nokia has a couple of Lumia devices up its sleeve. There have been many leaks but so far the company hasn’t said if it has plans of launching any new devices. Just last month at the Mobile World Congress it launched the Nokia X lineup, its first crop of highly forked Android powered phones. Today, Nokia has confirmed an event that will be held as part of Microsoft’s BUILD 2014 developer conference. Nokia promises that it has “some treats lined up” for us on April 2nd, 2014.

Its unclear if the company will be commenting on the holdup of its devices and services division’s acquisition by Nokia. It was expected to be completed in March, but as per recent reports, its likely that regulatory hurdles being faced in Asia might push it back a few weeks.

As far as the new devices are concerned, word on the street is that Nokia may launch the Lumia 630 a.k.a Moneypenny as well as the Lumia 930 a.k.a Martini. Both devices have been extensively leaked over the last few weeks, so if they were to be announced at BUILD 2014, its unlikely to catch anyone by surprise.

Last year over 6,000 developers attended Microsoft’s BUILD conference. BUILD 2014 sold out in under 24 hours.
