According to a report from earlier, it was suggested that the upcoming Oppo Find 7 handset would have the ability to snap photos of the 50MP variety. Yes, you read that right, in fact having the ability to take 50MP is not only impressive as far as phones are concerned, but it even beats out dedicated cameras.
However a follow up report suggested otherwise, hinting that the camera onboard the phone will pack a 13MP sensor instead. We guess all will be revealed on the 19th of March, but in the meantime thanks to additional photos that have made their way online, it looks like the 50MP rumors are back on track.
The photos above and in the gallery below are allegedly taken by the Oppo Find 7, courtesy of News.Go.Vn. Of course there’s no way to actually verify the images and even EXIF data can be manipulated if one chose to go to all that trouble for that.
However in terms of photo quality, we have to say that we are pretty impressed. The photos appear to be very clear and sharp, although admittedly photos with brighter colors do appear to be slightly muted and dull and we would have much preferred it to “pop” a little more. Then again it could be the camera’s settings that need adjustment, so we won’t make such a big deal of it now.
Now the question is when Oppo announces the phone, what are the chances of it making its way stateside? We know Oppo has plans to sell more phones in the US, and if the Find 7 does pack a 50MP camera, it would no doubt prove to be pretty big competition with its other hardware specs, like its QHD display. What do you guys think?
