In October last year, there were whispers of Motorola rolling out a phablet known as the DROID Quantum, although that particular device did not end up in the real world. It seems as though there is a new rumor making its rounds from a tipster who claims to have had a good track record concerning Motorola’s upcoming device – a new DROID model that is slated for a Q4 release later this year.
Apparently, Kevlar will feature in this alleged smartphone, just like how it did in previous smartphones from Motorola such as the Motorola Droid ULTRA, Motorola RAZR Maxx HD, and the Motorola Droid RAZR. This time around, the Kevlar used claims to be of the next generation, and one ought to be able to enjoy a larger screen ratio to boot, which would most probably mean that most of the device’s front would be covered with glass.
It does seem as though this is going to be a phablet from the sounds of it. Recently, many higher end models that look stunning seem to come with extremely thin bezels, which is great looking at the very least. Are you looking forward to this upcoming device? Hopefully Motorola (under Lenovo) will make it a good one.
