This would not come across as surprising at all, considering how Microsoft has recently made the move to waive the licensing fees for Windows Phone completely for Indian OEMs, at least or the likes of Lava and Karbonn, although it would be far from surprising if Xolo is not in on the deal as well.
Karbonn touts to be working on a quartet of Windows Phone devices which will cost anywhere from $100 to $200, without providing us with any kind of hardware specifications nor release dates so far. Lava is targeting a July 2014 release for its Qualcomm Snapdragon 200-powered smartphones with a price point that resides between $105 and $140, and Xolo claims that Q2 2014 will be when some of their hard work pays off. Time will tell, as usual.
