Galaxy S5 Zoom Could Be In The Works, According To Leaked Specs [Rumor]

We know that Samsung is a fan of releasing multiple variants of its flagship handset. Back in 2013, we saw the Galaxy S4 released in different versions, like the Galaxy S4 Active, a water-resistant version of the phone; the Galaxy S4 mini which was a smaller and less powerful version of the handset; and the Galaxy S4 Zoom which was basically a Galaxy S4 with a dedicated camera attached to it.

Now the question is will Samsung be repeating that trend with the recently announced Galaxy S5? Well the answer might be a yes. In fact one of the rumored variants could very well be the Galaxy S5 Zoom, thanks to recently leaked specs which has hinted at the existence of the device.

According to a recent GFXBench entry, it talks about a handset that packs a whopping 19MP camera. As we know, the Galaxy S5 does not feature a camera that big, which seems to suggest that this particular device’s focus will be on its camera, much like the Galaxy S4 Zoom.

Other apparent specs of this device includes a 4.8-inch 720p HD display which is slightly smaller than the Galaxy S5 in terms of size and resolution, and it also appears to pack Samsung’s Exynos 5250 hexa-core chipset. We’ve actually have yet to hear as to how well the Galaxy S4 Zoom is doing for itself to warrant a Galaxy S5 Zoom, but if these specs are anything to go by, it is something worth keeping an eye out for.

In the past we have heard the possibility that Samsung could be preparing a Galaxy S5 mini, so a Galaxy S5 Zoom might not necessarily be entirely out of the question. We have also heard the rumors that a more “premium” version of the Galaxy S5 is in the works too with a QHD display, but at this point in time it is just a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think of a Galaxy S5 Zoom?
