Unfortunately it seems that if you were looking to get your hands on the tablet, it is going to cost you. We knew that the tablet was somewhat pricey but we were hoping that Verizon might discount it further if bought on contract. While the carrier did subsidize it a bit, it’s still a fair amount of money.
Based on what we can see on Verizon’s website (screenshot above), the tablet will be sold at $849.99 without a contract. Basically what this means is that you will not be tied to Verizon for the next two-years.
However if you’d like to get a data plan to go with your tablet, Verizon is offering it for $749.99 with a two-year plan, making it $100 cheaper which we’re not sure if that might be a very good deal. However we guess there are customers out there who need a new tablet and wouldn’t mind getting a plan to go with it.
As a quick recap for those who might have forgotten, the Samsung Galaxy NotePro 12.2 will come with a 12.2-inch display with a resolution of 2560×1600. It will be powered by Samsung’s very own Exynos 5 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.9GHz. It will also be accompanied by 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage that can be expanded via microSD, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, and a sizeable 9,500mAh battery.
