Emergency iPhone Modes A Future Possibility
Today is the day that the US Patent & Trademark Office has published a patent application from Apple that is entitled “Mobile Emergency Attack and Failsafe Detection.” If you were to turn back the clock by five years or so, that was when Apple invented the iPhone emergency-mode processor, and fast forward to today, the company from Cupertino is working to advance the services which they could introduce into this particular system. In this Apple invention, it more or less relates to the iPhone – particularly techniques for the iPhone so that it can pick up probable emergency situations by itself, and help out the owner without the need to be prompted. Your very own digital guardian angel, so to speak.
Imagine if you are being attacked by surprise, or have experienced an injury in an accident, or suffered from a heart attack – those situations would not allow you to make a deliberate phone call for aid. With this patent, the iPhone that has been incorporated with such capability could eventually detect probable emergency situations by itself, and request for aid from pre-programmed numbers. Of course, not all patents will eventually end up implemented in real life, so don’t get your hopes up too high just yet.
