Brand Finance’s “Billion Dollar Brands” list claimed that Apple’s brand is worth $104.6 billion, which places it at nearly double the value of runner-up Google’s $68.6 billion valuation. This list was compiled after taking into consideration an estimate of the royalty rate charged to make use of a company’s brand, as well as merging such results with expected future revenue.
Tech companies have more or less led the way as evident in the top 10 list, where 5 companies make up half of that list. Microsoft is third, with GE sitting in fifth while Amazon.com lies in seventh. Overall, the tech sector makes up 23 percent of the total. Do you think that Apple deserves its place?
