Leaked information do point to a possible new high-end flagship smartphone that could be released alongside with the next version of BlackBerry’s mobile operating system. The alleged device supposedly features a quad-core Snapdragon 800 SoC that has been clocked at between 1.9GHz to 2.6GHz, alongside a Full HD 5” OLED display. Should this be true, it would mark BlackBerry’s first foray into the Full HD display smartphone world, and it could arrive in a trio of various variations, codenamed Euphrates, Tigris, and Mjölnir. Musket is also another name that has been thrown into the mix, where it will run on an octa-core Exynos 5410 SoC.
Other leaked names include the BlackBerry Ontario, the Windermere, and the Khan (P’9983). One thing’s for sure and confirmed though – BlackBerry CEO John Chen ain’t too happy with leakers and intend to keep things close to his vest from now on until the opportune moment.
