Apparently ASUS has an Android-powered gaming console in mind called the Game Box, and thanks to a recent Bluetooth SIG certification, an image of the console’s controller has been leaked, as you can see in the image above.
Based on the design, it appears that the controller is sort of a cross between the PlayStation’s controller and the Xbox One’s controller, with the placement of the analog sticks reminiscent of the PlayStation, while the colorful buttons reminds us of the Xbox.
There’s no telling when ASUS might unveil their Game Box, but seeing as the controller has already been pictured and been certified, we can only assume that the device is complete and could be close to being launched, so we’ll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for more information.
As far as its specs are concerned, it has been rumored that the ASUS Game Box could pack an NVIDIA Tegra 4 chipset with 2GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage, and will come with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean preinstalled. It’s probably not the most powerful console we’ve seen, but we reckon it should be more than capable of running Android games, thanks to its NVIDIA chipset.
