The folks at Sony Alpha Rumors have managed to get their hands on several photos of the upcoming handset along with its specifications. Now we should note that none of this is official yet so for all we know they could be changed when the camera has been officially launched.
So what kind of specs are we looking at? Well for starters photographers can look forward to an APS-C “Exmor” APS HD CMOS sensor with around 20.1MP. The lenses used on the camera are interchangeable so photographers will be able to swap them out with what they need. The camera will also feature an ISO range of 100 up to 16,000 and will feature a shooting speed of around 2.5fps.
The camera will also come with a 3-inch LCD display and will also be able to capture movies at 1080p Full HD. Interestingly enough despite the camera not yet being made official, Sony Australia has put it up for pre-order on their website where it is priced at AUD499 which is roughly $453 when converted. No word on when Sony will be making an official announcement, but we’ll be keeping our eyes and ears peeled for more information, so check back with us at a later date for the details.
