[MWC 2014] We did take a look at the ZTE Open C earlier, so it goes without saying that yet another device from ZTE, which is the ZTE Open II, deserves at least the same amount of time for you to go through its specifications before you decide whether to pick up a cheap or cheaper handset. Yes, the ZTE Open II will be extremely far away from the high end smartphones, considering how this Firefox OS-powered device comes with a mere 2MP camera at the back alongside a touchscreen capable 3.5” HVGA (480 × 320 resolution) display, a dual-core 1.2GHz MSM8210 processor, 256MB RAM as well as 2GB of internal memory. The battery on the ZTE Open II will stand at 1,150mAh.
I suppose the ZTE Open II is pretty much in line with ZTE’s plans for this Mobile World Congress as mentioned in one of our earlier stories. It is also nice to see a smartphone getting refreshed a year after the first model (the ZTE Open in this case) was introduced to the masses, that is for sure. It would be extremely interesting to see just which market will the ZTE Open II be most successful in when it rolls out globally. [Press Release]
