There have been a whole lot of rumors about Windows Phone 8.1 over the past few weeks. Microsoft is expected to launch this major platform update within the next couple of months, and its expected to bring quite a lot of new features for Windows Phone devices. A highly anticipated feature is the notification center, a unified repository where all app and system notifications are seamlessly displayed. Apparently in Windows Phone 8.1 it will be called Action Center, and while we have seen a leaked picture of it in the past, today a video has been posted online which shows off Windows Phone 8.1 Action Center in all its purported glory.
Windows Phone 8.1 Action Center can be accessed like its counterparts on iOS and Android, by swiping down from the top. First quick settings toggles are displayed, allowing easy access to frequently used settings. This eliminates the need to navigate to the full settings menu if something needs to be adjusted. Apparently there will be a lot of customization options as well, with users being able to disable individual banners and sounds from apps. The short 40 second clip only provides us a glimpse of the Windows Phone 8.1 Action Center, but as these leaks mount, the possibility of it making the final cut continues to rise. Microsoft is expected to talk more about Windows Phone 8.1 at its BUILD conference in April.
