Verizon’s Moto G Receives Android 4.4 KitKat
The Moto G is Motorola’s latest handset, although in this case it is not one of the company’s highest end products. In fact one might consider the device to hover somewhere between low to mid-ranged. That being said it does come with an affordable price tag, making it a pretty value for money buy for those who want an almost-stock version of Android that gets the job done. Now the downside to the Moto G is that it was launched with an older version of Android, Jelly Bean, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but having the latest version is a good thing, right? Well the good news is that for Verizon owners of the Moto G, there have been reports that the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is being pushed out to you as we speak.
The update will bring your version of the Moto G up to 173.44.20.en.US. For those who have yet to receive the notification informing them that an update is ready to be download, you can attempt to manually pull the update by going to your phone’s Settings, About Phone, System Updates, to see if the update can be downloaded. If it is not there, fret not because updates are typically rolled out in phases and we’re sure it will be your turn eventually.
