Another day, another HTC M8 rumor. The company is expected to unveil this smartphone at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month. The M8 is believed to be the very first HTC smartphone to ship with its updated Sense 6.0 UI pre-installed. Today a purported image has leaked online which gives us a glimpse of what’s said to be Sense 6.0 BlinkFeed.
BlinkFeed debuted last year with the HTC One, the company’s 2013 flagship. Its essentially a social feeds and RSS aggregator which gets a major makeover in the upcoming refresh. Though late last year HTC did release Sense 5.5 which brought a few tweaks for BlinkFeed. In Sense 6.0, it appears that this aggregator has a different UI as opposed to what we’re used to, large flat icons and categories stand out as two major features of the revamped BlinkFeed. This leaked image also hints once again that the new HTC flagship is going to come with onscreen buttons. The smartphone seen in this image is claimed to be a dummy unit, which means that its not necessarily the HTC M8’s front. It could simply be a prototype unit running next flagship’s software. HTC M8 is expected to come with Android 4.4.2 pre-installed when it is released later this year. [Image via AndroidWorld]
