If you’re looking forward to new camera announcements from Nikon, you might not have to wait too long. It seems that the Japanese camera manufacturer has recently started to send out invites to an event that they will be holding on the 11th of February 2014, which is next Tuesday. Given that CP+ will be kicking off on the 13th of February, we’re guessing that this announcement will be a pre-CP+ announcement which Nikon is probably hoping will not be drowned out by the excitement of the show in which we expect many manufacturers to unveil new camera-related products as well.
It is unclear as to what exactly Nikon might have in store for us come 11th of February, but if the rumors are to be believed, chances are the company could be looking to announce the Nikon D4S. The camera’s specs have yet to be confirmed, but it was early on in January that Nikon confirmed the existence of the device, and given that the Nikon D4 was designed to be a tool used by professionals, we reckon it will be the same for the Nikon D4S as well. Based on the model number, we expect it to be an upgraded variant of the Nikon D4 but check back with us during the 11th of February anyway for all the details.
