According to DigiTimes, “The software vendor is expected to release the new devices at Computex Taipei 2014 to be held from June 3-7, but the information has not been confirmed by Microsoft.” Prior to these reports, the rumors have suggested that the Surface Mini could be announced in the Spring of 2014. In fact we have also heard about the tablet’s alleged specs which includes a 7.5-inch 1400×1050 display running on Windows RT, 3G/4G connectivity, and could even be priced below $449. Of course given DigiTimes’ which suggests an 8.5-inch device, we’re not sure if the previously rumored specs can be believed anymore.
Either way do take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think? Are you looking forward to Microsoft announcing a Surface Mini? Or do you think that the craze over “mini” tablets is over and that bigger tablets like the Samsung Galaxy NotePro and Galaxy TabPro are the new trend?
