In a recent post by Microsoft, it has been revealed that the new Windows Phone OEM partners include companies like Foxconn, Gionee, JSR, Karbonn, Lava, Lenovo, LG, Longcheer, and ZTE. It’s interesting why Microsoft has listed LG and ZTE as both companies have attempted Windows Phone products in the past, but perhaps they have decided to renew their interest and efforts, who knows? It is also expected that Microsoft’s new partners will supplement their current partners which they have listed as HTC, Samsung, and Huawei (no Nokia presumably because Nokia will be folded in Microsoft post-acquisition). Unfortunately apart from announcing the new partners, Microsoft did not mention anything else about them, such as what sort of products we might be able to expect from them, when we might be able to expect them, and so on, but hopefully we will be able to look forward to something great in the near future.
