It is nearly a year since we have reviewed the LG Optimus G Pro, and we are pleased to bring you word that this particular smartphone will finally be on the receiving end of the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system update, although it will not happen in the first quarter, but some time in the second quarter of this year. How did we get a whiff of this? Well, the folks over at LG India have actually shed light on this particular situation as you can see in the image right after the jump.
LG India had a ready answer to a question over on Twitter concerning the company’s plans for an Android 4.4 KitKat update for the LG Optimus G Pro, and while there was a lack of an official press statement so, it does seem as though such an important update is in the pipeline, and for Optimus G Pro owners, this should be all that matters. Apparently, LG has decided to skip Android 4.3 Jelly Bean in order to make the jump straight to Android 4.4 KitKat for some devices including the lies of the LG Optimus F3, LG Optimus F6, LG G Pad 8.3, LG G Pro Lite, LG Optimus F7, LG Optimus L9 II, and LG Optimus Vu II.
