We expect Huawei to come in force at the Mobile World Congress 2014, the year’s biggest industry related conference, which kicks off in Barcelona later this week. The Chinese company is expected to make multiple product announcements, its also expected to unveil its next generation Ascend flagship smartphone. We have already heard quite a few rumors about the Ascend P7, but today we get a glimpse of what the phone may look like in real life. A purported Huawei Ascend P7 press render has leaked online.
If rumors are to be believed, the Huawei Ascend P7 is going to have a display between 5 inches and 5.5 inches with 1080p resolution. Under the hood, a 1.6GHz quadcore processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage is rumored. A 13 megapixel rear and 8 megapixel front facing camera is also rumored, apart from Android 4.4 KitKat, which may come preinstalled on the smartphone. Design wise the P7 looks a lot like its predecessor, the Huawei Ascend P6, which even held the world’s thinnest smartphone title for a short while. Presumably the P7 will be offered in four colors, though availability and pricing information is scarce at this point in time. Huawei hasn’t commented on the leaked press render, hopefully it will have more to share come MWC 2014.
