Now according to a new rumor from the folks at Canon Rumors, it has been suggested that the EOS 7D MK II will be launched in Q2 of 2014 instead, which basically means that we can expect its announcement either in April, May, or June. Unfortunately apart from that vague timeframe, there were no additional specifics that were mentioned.
Canon Rumors reiterates the rumor that as it stands, the specs of the camera has yet to be finalized. However from what we have learnt, the rumors claims that it could either sport a 20MP or a 24MP Dual Pixel CMOS AF sensor. It has also been rumored to feature an AF system that will be similar to the high-end EOS 5D MK III with 61-points, continuous shooting between 10-12fps, high-grade weather sealing, a Dual DIGIC V+ image processor, along with WiFi and GPS connectivity.
Like we said those specs cannot be confirmed as they are merely rumors, but it is strongly believed that the EOS 7D MK II will be setting a new standard as well as providing users with apparent cutting edge video features, whatever that means.
Either way try not to read too much into this for now, but we’ll be on the lookout for an announcement and hopefully we will get one soon.
