Hear ye, hear ye! Call of Duty: Ghosts players on the PS4, PS3 and Windows PC platforms will be able to gain access to the first DLC pack known as Onslaught this coming February 27. This is definitely the correct date as we have received official word about it, and I suppose this bit of happy news could not come any earlier after we shared on how the PS4 date was all wrong earlier this morning. With the Onslaught DLC, gamers will be able to enjoy a quartet of unique and classically designed Call of Duty multiplayer maps, the all-new “Maverick” dual-purpose Assault Rifle/Sniper Rifle, and the first installment in Extinction’s four-part episodic narrative, “Episode 1: Nightfall.”
Just to get a better idea on the new multiplayer maps that will arrive in Onslaught, they include Fog, which is a chilling homage to classic horror films that have been set alongside the banks of a murky lake. Apart from that, you can indulge in BayView, where gamers will be thrown into a coastal Californian boardwalk that will deliver fast-paced run-and-gun gameplay amid a seaside town. As for Containment, this particular map would see you thrown into a raging battle amidst a war-torn Mexican village, as bulk of the action would be concentrated on the crippled remains of a small bridge that holds a hi-jacked truck leaking radioactive material. Last but not least, Ignition is a completely reimagined version of “Scrapyard” – need we say more?
