The Moto G happens to be a bonafide mid-range Android smartphone. Customers have praised its build and the specifications it offers for a very competitive price. The smartphone has already been picked up by carriers like Verizon, Boost Mobile and U.S. Cellular, who have all used it to bolster their prepaid smartphone lineup. It appears that another major U.S. carrier might be jumping on the bandwagon as well, with the possibility AT&T LTE Moto G being released in the near future now rising.
Some customers find fault with the fact that Moto G doesn’t offer LTE connectivity, they’re stuck with 3G, which in this day and age might seem outdated to them. However, there appears to be evidence supporting the possibility of an AT&T LTE Moto G variant, a device dubbed Motorola XT1045 has recently been spotted in GFX Bench, touting a 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor as well as a 1,280×720 pixel resolution display, a mirror image of what’s found on the existing Moto G. The device is nicknamed “Peregrine,” and the product build is listed at “peregrine_att” which makes it evident that this device, whatever it may end up being, is headed to the second largest mobile operator in the U.S. AT&T hasn’t commented on this report as yet, and Motorola hasn’t mentioned LTE compatible Moto G variants as yet. Though it would become a very compelling sub-$200 option if AT&T were to get its hands on an LTE Moto G. We’ll keep an eye out for this one.
