Alleged iPhone 6 Specifications Spotted

It goes without saying that with each release of a new iPhone, you know for sure that there will be plenty of media attention focused on it, not to mention folks queuing up early at Apple Stores to be the first in their city to pick one up. Having said that, the next generation iPhone would be known as the iPhone 6 – at least for now, and South Korean securities firm KDB Daewoo Securities Research has apparently sent the hardware specifications of the iPhone 6 to its customers. How true the specifications list is remains to be seen, especially when one knows that a company like Apple is more often than not secretive with their items.

In this leaked report, the alleged hardware specifications point to a couple of sizes, where one of them measures 4.7” to 4.8”, and the other is a 5.5” glass display, with resolutions ranging from 1080 x 1920 pixels to 1280 x 2272, respectively. The glass itself will be made of indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) instead of the low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) that is used on existing iPhone models. Hmmm, it does make us wonder, what would happen to plans for using sapphire glass after acquiring the sapphire plant?

Apart from that, we do hear of a new 64-bit A8 processor as well as 2GB RAM, with the camera at the back being an 8-megapixel shooter, while the front facing camera lies at 3.2-megapixels. Not only that, the much rumored about 128GB iPhone is still in existence, as there was a listing of a 128GB iPhone in the report, too. [Research Paper]
