There are a lot of Veronica Mars fans out there who just can’t get enough of the TV series. Even when it was axed after its three season run, those fans came together through the power of the internet and raised over $5 million just so the Veronica Mars movie could be crowdfunded and ultimately brought to the big screen. That happens on March 14th and if you’re looking to catch up on the TV series before catching the movie, Amazon has you covered. The company announced today that Prime Instant Video is now the exclusive online only subscription home for the Veronica Mars TV series, with all three seasons being available for on demand streaming.
Director of Digital Video Content Acquisition, Brad Beale, said that the company knows just how popular the series has been on DVD and Instant Video for years, and now its able to offer the entire three season series to Prime members at no extra charge. Last week the official Veronica Mars movie trailer was released online following a successful crowdfunding campaign launched by Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell. Bell stars as the lead character on the show and in the movie. The campaign became the most widely backed campaign in Kickstarter history with over 91,000 donors pitching in.
