Under the ThinkPad 8’s hood beats an Intel Z3770 quadcore 2.4GHz Bay Trail processor with upto 8GB of DDR3L RAM. Customers will have the option to choose between 32GB, 64GB and 128GB flavors. The 10-point touch 8.3 inch display offers 1,920×1,080 pixel resolution. Connectivity options include microUSB 3.0, microHDMI and microSD card slot, 4G LTE, 3G and Wi-Fi only options.
It has an 8 megapixel rear and a 2 megapixel front camera. Weighing just 0.92lbs, the ThinkPad 8 is 8.8mm thin and said to offer up to 8 hours of battery life. Lenovo is also offering a unique “Quickshot” cover with the tablet which triggers its camera with the flick of a finger. Lenovo ThinkPad 8 will be available later this year, starting at $399.
