Sony’s QX10/QX100 Could Be Making Its Way Onto Tablets

Back in 2013, Sony announced the QX10 and the QX100 which were essentially camera lenses that you could attach to your smartphone. The great thing about the lenses was that it did not favor any particular device or platform, meaning that it worked on iPhones as well as non-Sony Android devices as well. Perhaps looking to further put an end to device discrimination, it seems that Sony could be considering releasing a mount for the QX10/QX100 that would make it compatible with tablets as well! Thanks to an image snagged by the folks at Xperia Blog, it shows how the QX10/QX100 could be strapped to the back of a tablet.

Sony has yet to make an official announcement but apparently this new mount is expected to arrive only in April and will be available in Japan first before making its way to the rest of the world. While our tablets are starting to come with better cameras these days, it has become something of a tech faux pas to use your tablet to snap photos or record videos, so we’re not sure if strapping a camera to the back of a 10-inch tablet will help make it better. Then again the larger display of a tablet makes it easy to perform edits so it is understandable why some people choose to use their tablets for such purposes. In any case what do you guys think? Would you be caught strapping the QX10/QX100 to the back of your tablet?
