If you were thinking about getting your hands on the Sony A77 or want to upgrade from the A77, you might have heard that there could be a Sony A77 successor in the works. This has been rumored about for a while now and last we heard, it is possible that the A77’s successor could even see a release in June following a rumored announcement in April. That’s well and good but how much could the camera cost? What sort of price tag could we be looking at here? According to the sources of Sony Alpha Rumors, it has been revealed that the price of the A77 will cost €1,200 for the body-only, but unfortunately did not mention how much the kit version will cost, although if we guess had to guess it’d probably be a few hundred Euros extra.
Sony Alpha Rumors believes that the A77’s successor, whose name is currently unknown, will be the only Sony APS-C A-mount camera coming in 2014. We still do not know what sort of specs the A77’s successor will have under the hood but the rumors claim that we can expect some new and exciting hardware, rather than incremental upgrades over its predecessor. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we will learn more further down the line. In the meantime what do you guys make of the rumored price? Is that something you’d be willing to pay?
