Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat Test Build Leaks Out

gs4-kitkatSamsung’s flagship smartphone, at least for the moment, is the Samsung Galaxy S4, so what better way to treat your flagship device than to introduce the latest version of the mobile operating system for it? We have received word that the Android 4.4 KitKat test build has already leaked out, where this particular test build has targeted the Samsung Galaxy S4. The leaked test build of the new firmware is meant for the GT-I9505 version of the Galaxy S4, which so happens to be the model that supports LTE connectivity, and with it, the main change where looks are concerned would be the status bar alongside its all-white icons. These tend to be in line with some of the recently published Google guidelines, while the green shade that Samsung had stuck to for so long to depict its battery icon has been dropped.

Apart from that, a new camera shortcut now appears on the lockscreen to make it faster for you to enter camera mode from a locked position, but apart from that, it is pretty much the same TouchWiz experience that many would have gotten used to since Android 4.3. This does throw some light on another matter though – the recently leaked TouchWiz design might only arrive with the next version of the Galaxy S handset, and not in this generation. Only time will tell.
