If you’re planning on getting your hands on the Samsung Galaxy S5 when it is announced, you might be interested to learn that together with a new user interface, Samsung could be bundling several new apps as well, and one of them is apparently called Samsung Life Times. This was uncovered by the folks at SamMobile who have managed to get their hands on the app and have taken it for a spin, revealing its user interface and its intended function in the process.
According to SamMobile, the Samsung Life Times app is meant to be a diary of sorts. What it does is that it collects information about the user based on other apps that they use along with any events that might have been scheduled, and based on that it will create a log for the user in which they are able to view what they have done recently. It sounds a bit creepy as it feels like you’re being tracked, but in reality it’s meant to be a journal where your phone will automatically log your photos and vacations for you.
Apart from that we’re not too sure what the full functionality of the app is, but assuming that the app is indeed a real thing, we could be hearing more about it from Samsung in the near future. In a way it’s apps like these which might have prompted Google to put their foot down regarding extensive Android modifications by OEMs such as Samsung.
