Professional video conferencing or telepresence solutions from the likes of Cisco or Polycom often tend to be expensive, which means that they don’t exactly fit in the range of small or medium businesses. Logitech intends to bridge that gap with its new video conferencing solution called the ConferenceCam CC3000e. It lets up to ten people turn a conventional meeting room into a full blown video-enabled collaboration room. This all-in-one solution offers 1080p HD video and enterprise quality audio, at under $1,000.
Setting up the Logitech ConferenceCam CC3000e is quite easy, its compatible with Mac and PC computers, with support for USB plug and play as well as NFC pairing with mobile devices. It works across all major video conferencing applications such as Skype, Lync, or even Google Hangouts. Since the full HD camera offers a wide field of view, optimized workgroups of up to six or ten people can easily join a video conference call together, something which would have been impossible with a conventional webcam. The speakerphone offers omni-directional 20-ft diameter range as well as noise and echo cancellation, enabling crisp and clear audio. The CC3000e’s hub includes a LCD caller and function display and can be controlled through a dockable remote control for easy access. Available later this month, the Logitech ConferenceCam CC3000e costs $999.
