Lenovo Y40 And Y50 Are Slimmed Down Mighty Gaming Laptops
[CES 2014] Lenovo’s new Y series slims down the company’s “mighty” gaming laptops. Boasting AMD Radeon graphics, the 14 inch and 15 inch laptops aim to offer superior gaming at a relatively affordable price. The Lenovo Y50 offers an extra edge and offers a much more powerful gaming experience due to the fact that it boasts NVIDIA GRX graphics on board.
Customers can opt for a 14 inch or 15.6 inch full HD 1,920×1,080 pixel resolution display, they will also have the ability to go for an optional Ultra High Definition 3,840×2,160 panel though the option is only available on the Y50. Customers will also be able to choose up to 4th generation Intel Core i7-4702HQ processor.
Both laptops feature up to 16GB of DDR3L-1600MHz RAM, 1TB hybrid SSHD with 8GB SSD, 720p HD webcam, JBL stereo speakers and subwoofer with Dolby Advanced Audio V2, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI, card reader, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Windows 8.1 and up to five hours of battery life. Up to AMD Radeon M270 2GB graphics are offered on the Lenovo Y40 and up to NVIDIA GTX-860 2GB on the Lenovo Y50. The Lenovo Y40 and Y50 Touch laptops will be available later this year for $499-$999.
