Based on a tip from one of their trusted sources, it would seem that 2014 is the year where Nokia could start introducing more quad-core powered devices courtesy of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 processor. Their source also claims that Nokia might make the jump to 2K displays, and even incorporate next-gen camera hardware that might sport 20-25MP sensors. Quad-core Nokia phones aren’t new, in fact they debuted last year with the Lumia 1520 which was also one of Nokia’s first Full HD devices. For Nokia to make the jump to 2K would definitely be a huge leap and does seem a tad sudden.
However based on what we know so far, there will be a few devices in 2014 to sport the revered 2K display, such as the Oppo Find 7, the Vivo Xplay 3S, and if the rumors are to be believed, even Samsung’s Galaxy S5 could sport a display with such high resolution as well. Of course rumors being rumors, do take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think? Do those rumored specs make Nokia’s Windows Phone devices more tempting?
