First Commercial Tizen Device Certified In Japan

The very first Tizen smartphone from the folks over at Samsung which will be commercially available in due time would be the SC-03F, where this happens to be a handset that is said to roll out by NTT DoCoMo, the largest mobile carrier over in the Land of the Rising Sun. The Samsung SC-03F did pick up the nod of approval by the Japanese authorities in recent times, but it seems that the official unveiling has been postponed by NTT DoCoMo.

SankeiBiz mentioned that the announcement of the SC-03F was first scheduled for January 16, but it seems as though NTT DoCoMo has pushed back the announcement without giving a particular reason at all. Of course, this has led to speculation that the delay is due to the fact that Tizen is far from being the finished article, which means that it is not ready at all to make an appearance to the masses.

Another possible reason for the delay would be the fact that Samsung as well as NTT DoCoMo are not doing all that well where their working relationship is concerned, especially after NTT DoCoMo launched the iPhone 5s last December. Everyone knows that Samsung is a big fan of the Android smartphone market, so to see this mobile carrier work with the “enemy” is something that is not too easy to swallow. As for the US market, you can more or less forget about it.
