The Legend Of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Sells Over 400,000 Copies In The US

Nintendo’s Zelda franchise is without doubt a popular one, and could be considered to be one of the more classic franchises still around, along with the likes of Mario. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds was released on the 22^nd of November in the US, and if you’re wondering how well the game managed to do, well you’d be surprised (or not surprised, if you’re a huge Zelda fan). According to Nintendo, they have managed to sell a whopping 280,000 copies of the game since its release in the US on the 22^nd of November.

However if one were to take into consideration the special edition Nintendo 3DS XL bundle that was sold together with the game, Nintendo estimates that would mean they would have sold a little over 400,000 units. In the meantime other Nintendo titles such as Pokemon X and Pokemon Y also managed over 200,000 copies during the month of November, and have since sold 2.35 million units. Super Mario 3D World has also managed to sell over 200,000 copies in the first eight days of its release. From what we can tell, Nintendo’s games are pretty popular, although as far as the Wii U is concerned, Nintendo appears to be struggling, but with games like Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. coming out in 2014, will those titles be enough to help boost Nintendo Wii U sales?
