The Xbox One received a mandatory system update last night that makes some improvements to some issues it had regarding its multiplayer as well as SmartGlass. It appears the Xbox One isn’t the only next-generation console on the block that has received an update as Sony announced the PlayStation 4 has received system update 1.52 earlier today.
With the next generation of consoles launched, you would think Sony would start making some note-worthy updates to its consoles and handhelds. Unfortunately, system update 1.52 is another one of those “system software stability” updates that PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita owners know all too well.
If you want to get in on the “system software stability” fun of system update 1.52, you can head on over to your PlayStation 4 and either download it manually through the console’s Systems menu, or you could get this and future updates downloaded automatically by turning on the Automatic Uploads and Downloads feature on the PS4.
Sure – you’ll still have to install the update the next time you fire up your PlayStation 4, but at least you won’t have to sit through the process of downloading the update, especially since it’s nothing more than a “system software stability” update.
