One of the main reasons Blockbuster’s online business came to a grinding halt was because it failed to compete toe-to-toe with the likes of Netflix and Amazon’s Lovefilm, and Blockbuster’s UK administrators are keeping their fingers crossed that they will be able to find a buyer who is willing to bail the company out – before arriving at the decision to shut down the remaining Blockbuster stores.
