PopCap Games released Peggle 2 exclusively on the Xbox One on Monday, which we have a feeling many of you Peggle fans have considered buying the console just to feed your addiction to the game. If you’ve played Peggle 2, you’ll notice one mode from the original title has gone missing: Duels. Don’t worry, Peggle fans – Peggle 2 will have a Duels mode in the very near future.
Peggle 2 producer Jared Neuss took to Peggle’s Facebook page this week to introduce himself to fans of the series, but to also announce a free piece of DLC featuring Duels is coming. “So, now that Peggle 2 is out in the world, what are we doing,” Neuss says in the Facebook post. “While I can’t reveal too much, I’m happy to announce that we’re currently focused on bringing you a multiplayer mode that may sound familiar to Peggle veterans: Duels! This new mode will enable players to compete against each other, in the same room or across the Internet, head-to-head on the same board.”
As for the price of the piece of DLC that will bring Duels to Peggle 2? Neuss says, “We’ll be announcing details soon, but rest assured that we’re working to bring you Duels as soon as we possibly can. For free. Because free is rad and you fine folks deserve it.”
